TITLE: The “Golden” Appartments: Minister Mitarachi, Refugees and Golden Visa investors from China

DESCRIPTION: European funding which is granted for the accommodation of refugees ends up, through the Greek Ministry of Migration & Asylum, in the hands of two real estate companies in Athens. These companies are being sued for fraud by Chinese investors of the Golden Visa program and in the recent past the companies have also been investigated for money laundering. Millions of euros in funding are awarded to an NGO – an organization which did not meet the essential criteria established by the Greek government when they vowed “to put NGOs in order", an organization which seems to have been established by people who are related to the directors of the companies which are awarded the funding.
